As we approach the end of 2025, Octaclean continues to grow and strengthen its position as a trusted provider of laboratory cleaning and commercial cleaning services across Cambridge, Essex, Hertfordshire, and Suffolk. The past two months have seen exciting new contracts, team development, and continued progress in sustainability — all driven by our commitment to quality and excellence in everything we do.
It’s been a busy and rewarding period for Octaclean, with multiple new contracts secured — most notably another contract at Babraham Research Campus, where we’re proud to now be providing office and laboratory cleaning services, as well as laboratory support services across both containment level 1 and 2 laboratories.
This specialist area of our business continues to grow rapidly, and with it comes an exciting promotion within our team. Choosing the right people for these roles is critical, as the training is detailed and highly supervised, and it’s great to see our team members stepping up and excelling in this technical cleaning environment.
Elsewhere in Cambridge, we’ve also started work with another biotech client, where a new approach was needed to meet high expectations — and that’s exactly what we’ve been able to deliver. The result has been some fantastic early stage feedback, which is a credit to the team’s professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering exceptional biotech cleaning services.
To support this continued growth, we’ve welcomed three new team members this month. From experience, we know that proactively managing staffing levels has a direct impact on service levels, and it’s something we take great pride in. We’re also proud to maintain an exceptionally low staff turnover and even a waiting list to join the team — something that speaks volumes about the culture we’re building here at Octaclean.
On the sustainability front, we’ve also ordered a new-to-market EV van from Kia, a fantastic addition to our fleet that supports our long-term commitment to environmental responsibility and to using the best cleaning equipment available. Not only are we moving towards battery-electric vehicles, but our approach is also supported by the battery-operated cleaning equipment we invest in across our sites — helping to reduce our carbon footprint while maintaining efficiency and quality.
A big thank you to all our clients, partners, and staff who continue to help drive Octaclean forward. We’re proud to be supporting the region’s life sciences and commercial sectors and look forward to finishing the year strong and building on these achievements into 2026.
