High level cleaning in Cambridge

High-level warehouse cleaning comes with its own unique challenges — and safety is always our top priority.

We were recently asked to carry out high-level cleaning inside a warehouse, a job made more complex by extensive overhead ducting and pipework.
To manage this safely and effectively, we used a scissor lift that offered more height than needed but, importantly, provided a wide and stable working platform with extended reach. The work was completed during a planned daytime shutdown — though we regularly carry out similar projects overnight to avoid disruption to our clients’ operations.

Unfortunately, falls from height remain the leading cause of workplace fatalities. That’s why only IPAF-trained operatives are permitted to operate within elevated platforms on our jobs. As part of our risk assessment process, we always build in additional time to ensure tasks are completed thoroughly and without unnecessary pressure.
