CL2 Lab transition cleaning ARU Whittle

This weekend Octaclean delivered a CL2 → CL1 laboratory transition clean at Anglia Ruskin University (Writtle).

The programme sat between an open day and scheduled exams, so the works had to be completed, inspected, and handed back within a fixed window.

Scope was aligned to CL2 decontamination requirements in support of reclassification, and included:

• Decontamination of all benches, desks, and contact surfaces
• Treatment of laboratory seating
• Floor decontamination and scrub using the Numatics NX platform
• Sinks, taps, and splashbacks including sink traps + pipework decontaminated
• Internal window glazing cleaned

Products used included Virkon and Chemgene HLD4L.

Delivery was carried out by a team of 6 operatives, all experienced in CAT 2 laboratory environments.

For a project like this, there’s no tolerance for delay or rework — sequencing, dwell-time control, and contamination management have to be right first time.
